Documentation

TableScroll is a jQuery plugin.  It is intended to enable the <tbody /> element of a table to be scrollable.

Requirements:

We’ve designed TableScroll to be lightweight and require the least amount of configuration – only the basic table elements.  This allows TableScroll to maintain W3C standards.

TableScroll requires that the applied table must have the following format:

<table>
    <thead>
        <th>…</th>
        …
        <th>…</th>
    </thead>
    <tbody>
        <tr>
         <td>…</td>
            …
            <td>…</td>
        </tr>
    </tbody>
    <tfoot>
        <tr>
            <td>…</td>
            …
            <td>…</td>
        </tr>
    </tfoot>
</table>

The <table /> requires both, a <thead /> and <tbody /> element; <tfoot /> is optional.

Usage:

Assuming, the table has an ID of #myTable, the basic application of the Table Scroll plugin is:

$(‘#myTable’).tableScroll();

Options:

Table Scroll’s options can be found on the Options page.
